Art 7 Photograph Editing
In class today we will watch an instructional video on how to edit a photo. Watch the video and then try to make some edits to your photos. Pick one photo to play around with first. Playing around with a photo will give you an opportunity to see what this software program can do to photos and you don’t have to worry about making mistakes. If you don’t like an edit you made just hit the “revert to original” button, or "control Z" to go back one step. When you feel comfortable using the software then you can try making some real edits to a photo. If you get stuck try asking 3 classmates for help before you ask the teacher. Here is the link to the video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwyCG1004o4Here are some edits I would like you to try:
- Try some of your photos in black and white
- Use the Crop tool to help you with Rule of Thirds
- Try vignette on some of your black and white photos or color photos
- Play around with contrast and color saturation
- Try to adjust exposure of some of your photos
- Have some fun with color
- Try some of the other tools just to see what they can do
When you finish all the editing you can do finish the Color Wheel you started with Ms. Widel last week, and if you finish that ask Ms. Widel for a Value Scale to work on.
